I really hate critics. Sometimes it seems they give scathing reviews just to prove their existence. Often I find myself enjoying a movie or a book despite overwhelming panning by the critics. Also, I often see a movie on a critic's advice only to find that the movie didn't speak to me. Time and time again, history has shown that critics can be wrong en masse, as pieces of works thrown in the trash turn out to be the next generation's masterpieces.

In the following reviews, I try my best to point out the things that work, and not just point out the weaknesses. In that way, I often find myself at odds with the critics. Then so be it. The readers will ultimately decide on their own whether or not to pursue a work.
